Pusztaszer, Monument of the Seven Chieftains

The monument is located in a 4-ha area, on the top of the Árpád Hill. The information signs describing the seven chieftains can be found next to the hill.

How to approach: Leave the centre of Pusztaszer via the Kossuth Street and then follow the dirt road for 1.5 km, in which it continues. There is a sign on the dirt road showing the exact location of the monument.

Accessible on foot, throughout the year.

The Monument of the Seven Chieftains and the associated study trail is a historical monument and a protected natural area at the same time, which is a rare combination. The obelisk, commemorating the Hungarian conquest of the Carpathian Basin, was constructed from public donations in 1900.
